Links to Helicopter units in the Vietnam War

Helicopters became a common feature on the TV news programmes and it was soon apparent to viewers that they had other uses aside from being a rotary-winged taxicab for war correspondents. Helicopter gunships armed with rockets and multi-barrel machine guns were in use, providing close support to the ground troops; "Dust Off" medical evacuation helicopters were bringing out the wounded; formations of troop-carrying 'Slicks' would fill the air, carrying companies of troops into action... and behind the scenes were others, in the supply or command and control role. This section is a series of pages containing links to the websites of numerous helicopter units that served in the Vietnam War. There are so many links that I have broken them down into groups as you can see.
