Welcome to Eleven-Bravo
You've landed at 'Eleven-Bravo', formerly and historically known as Grunt or Gruntonline.com, Eleven-Bravo is a Vietnam War site dedicated to the support and growth of wargaming the Vietnam War and to the distribution of historical material relating solely to that war.
I welcome contributions from visitors and, in particular, from Veterans of the Vietnam War. Many US and other Free World Veterans have already helped me considerably with individual contributions and I am always looking for more first-hand information about organisation, tactics, experiences and general information which cannot normally be found in books.
Information available here covers a wide-range of subjects including. but not limited to; the US Army, USMC (United States Marine Corps), OOBs (Order of battle), Tables of Organisatiion & Equipment (TO&E), US Brown Water Navy (riverine forces), military police, wargaming, the Vietcong (VC or 'Charlie') and the North Vietnamese Army (known as the NVA).
Back to TopFlashpoint Miniatures
Siege Works Studios in Brisbane Australia has recently purchased the Flashpoint Miniatures business from Anton Ducrot who originally started the business and is the sculptor of the range.
Flashpoint supply some excellently sculpted 15mm Vietnam figures including US Army, NVA, ANZAC, VC main and local force, hooches, and M113s (basic model and ACAV). They have a very active release schedule that includes a Saladin turret upgrade for the M113 for the Aussies, gun trucks, UH-1B's and many other products in the pipeline.
Flashpoint are busy developing Company sized Vietnam rules which should be available by the end of the year

Back to TopDid you have a link to Gruntonline?
If you had a link on your website to Gruntonline I would appreciate it if you could take the time to change the link details to point at this site. I built up a good number of links with you all out there and now, having lost the Gruntonline domain name, all those links are dead and doing none of us any good. Thanks.

"Are you a Veteran of the American War? Did you serve with the North Vietnamese Army or with the National Liberation Front?" Tell me more...
Back to TopWhy 'Eleven-Bravo'
My original website was called 'Grunt' or 'Gruntonline' but since I lost the domain name I have had to create a new domain. I wanted to keep the connection with the Grunts so I chose 'Eleven Bravo' as a replacement for 'Grunt'.
11B is the US Army MOS (Military Occupational Speciality) designation for a Rifle Infantryman. The number 11 is the branch code (Infantry) and the B represents rifleman.
In the Marine Corps (USMC) the equivalent is MOS 0311 (03 is infantry and 11 is rifleman)

Riverside Hootch
An almost typical riverside hootch that festooned the banks of rivers and other waterways.
NVA T-55
The Easter Offensive of 1972 saw large numbers of Soviet tanks rolling down onto unsuspecting ARVN positions. This model of an NVA T-55 now allows you to place the allies on the receiving end of these frightening monsters.
Dust Off
Aero-medical evacuation came of age in Vietnam where Dust Off Helicopters came to be one of the most welcome sights to any wounded Grunt but often at great cost.
Fields of Fire
After humping the boonies for some time now, Todd McQuaid's excellent Vietnam forum 'Fields of Fire' has set up a new NDP.
As ever, a warm welcome awaits all Vietnam gamers and the forums are beginning to get repopulated so head on over, check in your gear, and get posting.
